Dr. Lynch graduated from Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2000. Following medical school, he completed his residency training in Cleveland at The Cleveland Clinic South Pointe Hospital and his fellowship training at the Wellington Orthopaedic/University of Cincinnati Sports Medicine.
Throughout his residency and fellowship, Dr. Lynch received an impressive list of honors and awards including the 2005 Outstanding Resident Award. He is a member of the National Osteopathic Honor Society and has been on Faculty at Ohio University as a Clinical Associate Professor of Orthopedic Surgery for the last six years. His team and sports treatment experience spans all levels including high school athletes, the Cincinnati Bengals, University of Cincinnati, and medical coverage for the Revolution 3 Triathlon.
“We are excited to add Dr. Lynch’s experience to our team,” says Spence Fisher, Vice President of Business Development and Physician Recruitment. “His proven style of personalized medicine and customer service are a great fit for our community and hospital.”
Dr. Lynch will provide a full range of orthopedic care services to patients of all ages. With additional training in sports medicine and arthroscopy, he has a special interest in the care of the athlete and surgical treatment that utilizes minimally invasive arthroscopic techniques.
Working with patients as a partner in their health is important to Dr. Lynch’s approach to orthopedic care. “I provide my patients with a detailed explanation of the issue in terms they can understand. Together, we discuss all options for care, both operative and non-operative, and then make a decision about what is best for each individual,” he remarks. “My goal is to achieve an active, pain-free lifestyle for my patients by combining leading edge techniques and proven traditional methods.”
Dr. Lynch will be moving to the area with his wife and four young children to be closer to extended family after having practiced for six years in northern Ohio. “My current practice is in a smaller town and I wanted to find those same unique qualities in Central Ohio,” he adds.
Starting in late October, Dr. Lynch joins the well-respected practice of Marysville Orthopedics with Mark Stover, DO and Doug Skura, MD. Upon his arrival to the community, appointments can be made by calling (937) 578-4200.
