Board Certification demonstrates that physicians have met the highest standards of internal medicine and its subspecialties. It is voluntary and includes an exam that tests a physician’s ability to diagnose and treat patients with a broad range of conditions.
As an internal medicine physician, Dr. Henzel applies his clinical knowledge and expertise to treating patients for a variety of conditions. In addition to offering all the services of a family physician, internal medicine physicians have expertise in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of many adult diseases, including heart disease, hypertension, and diabetes.
Since 2008 Dr. Henzel has served as medical director for Loving Care Hospice and Home Health. The organization serves Union, Madison, and surrounding counties to provide medical care and living assistance in the home and offer assistance to terminally ill patients and their loved ones. He also provides continuing care at The Gables at Green Pastures.
IMPCO is an affiliate of Memorial Hospital of Union County, through the Union County Physician Corporation. In addition to Dr. Henzel, the practice includes Board Certified Internal Medicine physicians Timothy Coss, DO; Prasanna Muniyappa, MD, and certified nurse practitioner Megan Reis, CNP.
