A New Horizon for Heart Care

The beginning of an exciting expansion of services, The Heart Partnership was established with Wexner Medical Center at The Ohio State University in 2009. Teams at Memorial Hospital and Wexner Medical Center at Ohio State combine the expertise of skilled physicians, nurses, technologists, and more as they directly work together from the moment a patient is seen at Memorial Hospital. The collaboration marks the first affiliation of its kind, providing Union County residents with a unique connection to the Ohio State's Medical Center should a transfer be necessary for advanced procedures.

In January 2013, Memorial Hospital opened the Heart & Surgical Pavilion. Through The Heart Partnership with The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, the pavilion creates a single-location center of excellence for cardiac and peripheral vascular care. Also wrapped into the project is Memorial’s focus on the expansion of endoscopy and surgical services. Altogether, the pavilion unites the very best medical science and joins the expertise of outstanding physicians, nurses, technologists, and staff to continue providing our community with advanced medical technology close to home.

Features include:

• Multi-use catheterization lab for cardiac diagnostics and peripheral vascular interventions
• Centralized location for diagnostic cardiology testing, such as stress tests and vascular exams
• Three state-of-the-art operating suites
• 16 private pre- and post-procedure rooms
• Two new endoscopy suites
• Outpatient clinic space for Ohio State’s Heart & Vascular Center at Marysville
• A Medication Therapy Clinic, to include the Anticoagulation Clinic
