Deadly enemies like heart disease and cancer often show little or no outward symptoms until it’s too late. Thankfully, with Memorial Hospital’s cutting-edge imaging technology, these life-threatening diseases can be diagnosed and conquered early on.

We’re constantly upgrading our equipment to stay at the forefront—like our two digital x-ray units, two digital mammography units, and high-speed computed tomography (CT) scanner. This scanner is capable of performing specific scans for heart disease and numerous other body scans to detect pre-cancerous growths. And the best part is, there are no uncomfortable scopes, incisions or anesthesia required. You don’t even have to wear a hospital gown. We also have a digital mammography system with a new nuclear camera with the latest cardiac software.

For our mammography patients, we offer you a mammography suite in the lower level of the Women's Health Center and the other in our main radiology department. At the heart of the unit is the R2 ImageChecker®-, the industry's most advanced technology. Research indicates that this system can increase the diagnostic and detection capability of the mammogram procedure from the 70th- to the 90th-percentile, detecting some 20-percent of the the cancers not commonly detected by conventional processes. We also offer our patients the Woman's Touch MammoPad®-, a soft foam cusion that can help reduce the discomfort some women experience during their mammogram.

Our highly trained staff consists of Board-Certified Radiologists and Registered Radiologic Technologists who work with your doctor to conduct your test, read the results, and thoroughly explain them to you. You can count on our professional staff to support you and provide the information you need as quickly as possible—so you can get on with the business of getting better.
